My brother recently destroyed his TE magna XS tourer.
Im considering stealing his manual gearbox and putting it in my TL, will this fit straight in?
and should i be able to get all neccasary parts from the wreck?
I know a manual conversion is clearly a big job, but is there anything in paticular that needs modifying etc
and i saw that cruise control was a problem with the conversion when tricking the auto ecu.
has a fix been found for this?

yeah, basically you need to put on a relay where the inhibitor wiring trick is, so it thinks its in P when your clutch is depressed, ( need clutch switch)
drive shaft is different. left or right cant remember.
um and something about a 3.0L engine having a different flywheel to the 3.5L engine. im not sure, my conversion was 3.5L engine with 3.5L box

cool, but basically, i can use everything out of my brothers car, no dramas?
Minor dramas are involved, apparently you need to either source a manual cluster or go for an older one. Speak to Madmagna about TL manual conversions.

My contact details are in my sponsor section, I did get your PM but is much easier to chat over the phone
BTW< 3.0 and 3.5 flywheel are the same, no relays are needed at all, any cluster will work, just some wiring involved
