hi,

i want to get a DVD player for the car... i have sony head unit already installed... but i dont wanna take the song HU off and replace with the DVD... so...
my questions are:

1. how do you connect the DVD to the existing setup??? is it possible??
2. how do the power and speaker wires connect both the sony HU and the DVD player??
3. is there another way of setting this up??

Does your current HU have an aux in?

If so you can connect the DVD to the current HU and then yeah just run it through that.

so your saying just connect the 2 wires (aux in and out) and thats it????

The DVD player will have outputs. Hopefully the Sony has inputs. Connect them.

Just remember not to try hooking both decks up to speakers etc because without diodes etc in place you'll blow one or the other up. :(
