Hey guys,

Over the last few days my car has started shuddering quite bad under engine load, it's not apparent when just coasting along or in neutral only on accelaration.

Another interesting thing is when i turn to the right (weight on left wheel) it shudders but turning the other way does make it shudder.

I believe this could be one of the bearings in the left wheel as i have only just had the cv replaced.

Has anyone experienced this before? What were the results?

Thanks guys,

Mikey

Have you tried searching as the shuddering problem came up recently, as I recall was something to do with the driveshaft.

check wheel bearrings, check tie rod ends and ball joints. this is going to sound really dumb, check that there's not something stuck on the tyre somewhere, maybe when accelrating might make a difference. also go ahead and check if your brake disks arent worn and warped.

just spoke to our family mechanic who weve known for 30 odd years, worked on my dad's race cars, reckons it's the ignition system, I'm gonna take it all apart on the weekend and have a look, will let you know :D

probably just oil on one or two spark plugs . . . . check the simple, cheapest things first!

Typical blocked rocker cover symptons. $10 says the elbows on your rocker covers are caked up with crap, get them cleaned out properly and your PCV system should be fine...

ye i cleaned them after i blew the seal. I had made up a seal for my oil cap out of cork paper which cause excess pressure, no breathers = blown seal. not to mention the oil that flooded into my alternator -__-
