Hey guys, wondering if you can shed some light on this situation and let me know what to suss out first maybe! as stated in the title, every now and then i will go to start the car and it will crank over fine but will not start up! if i leave it for a minute and try again then it will start (most the time- sometimes it takes a couple of goes). It doesnt seem to be a battery or starter problem and the fuel pump is working.. any ideas would be great!

Could be one of 2 things... Ignition (Spark) or Fuel. Fuel pump could be on its way out, might have fouled plugs... Leads might be shit. Theres a couple to get you started anyways.

Sound kind of like the pump if you can leave it for a minute then start it.

Haha thats funny i only just replaced the fuel pump a few weeks ago :)

I thought for a while it could be to do with the alarm/immobiliser which the previous owner (Danny3.0) put in, but I have disconnected that and its still doing it sometimes!

Ah just wont fire up at all!! I think i may be on to something though, the last two times its done it i've sat with the car on the "ON" position for about three seconds then tried and shes fine.... Dunno what this could mean but eh.. il go with it for now!
