My TJ Magna has 119,000 kms on it. A "spanner" icon has just appeared in the odometer module. It is to the left of the words that indicate the odometer or trip function. I can't find any reference to it in the manual or online. It's not illuminated and is there whenever the ignition is turned on. It may have been present for some time, but I noticed it today for the first time.

Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks

Tim

It means your car is due for a service... If you DIY servicing, search for it and you'll find a method of clearing it. Otherwise mech/dealer does it when they service it.

It goes by itself if you leave it :)

Do the service though

As above - car wants to be serviced / its a service reminder.

It can be turned off - so it doesnt it remind you - check your owners manual on how to do it.

Spanner comes on approx 1000km before the due service, and stays on 500km past the service time.

Also its telling u to stop driving like a Tool LOL

lol not quite...

I remember the first time the tool sign came on around 104,000k's... I actually pulled over instantly and turned off my engine thinking something was wrong mechanically! Checked the owners manual and yeah I found that it was just a warning that the 105k service is due soon.....

It went away after about 105500 k's.... then I got the car serviced and it ran 100%...
