I am pretty disappointed with the stopping power of my KJ wagon.... Such a boat!
I am looking at upgrading the front calipers to twin pots, but am having trouble sourcing a set for a decent price.
I understand that EVO or VR4 twin pots wont work, and that it it's coming down to calipers off a Ralliart or AWD magna.
What i'm asking is if anyone has tried using twin pot brakes off facelift Legnum/Galant VR4's before? There seems to be a bit easier finding their twin pot calipers for sale, after they do Brembo upgrades

Get a set of 380 brakes and you will never regret it....simple bolt on job.

If you have a spare set lying around or can get a set, either drop over with them and I can try them on some spare hubs or give a caliper and rotor to Nick and he can drop over to try them and measure them up.
What pad do they take BTW

The facelift brakes are the same ones that are fitted to the evos before the brembos were.. So what's that before evo 5 and maybe some evo 6??
With the facelifts brembos are pretty much a direct fit so I think that might be a indicator that these won't bolt onto a magna with out modifications..
Might have more luck with a PFL cos I know that the hubs are different for them, don't know excat details but I'll find out if ya want man!
Somone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Front Evo Brembo's are a direct fit to 3rd Gen Magna's and facelift VR4's. You will need new brake lines made up but the callipers & disks bolt right up.
Rear Brembo's & AWD/Ralliart callipers require a 3.7mm disk spacer to fit FWD 3rd Gen Magna's.
Theoretically then the front twin pots from a facelift VR4 should bolt right onto a 3rd Gen Magna no worries.

Rear Ralliart calipers don't require a spacer, I've had a set on mine up until recently.

Also, Brembo brake lines are a direct bolt on for the front, only the rears need replacement due to the different brake line arrangement where it attaches to the the chassis bracket

Evo 4s are the same as the twin pot AWD brakes. Ive got some lying around just havent bothered to put them on yet. Could always try ebay or evolution forums?

the calipers don't need spacing, the disks do...
the AWD disks require a spacer. if you have Ralliart disks you don't need one.

Hell yes, easy to get through EvoOz, easy to recondition from eBay Seal Reco Kit for $80 and easy to install (if you have an idea on what you're doing!)
DO IT!!

For the twin pots? Try $30~ from Bursons. For $80, you may as well get the genuine Mitsu kit.

Hey guys, digging up an old thread here- I have scored some facelift Legnum calipers and pads- I am going to order some Magna AWD front rotors.
Just need to know about the brake lines. Will the stock 3rd gen ones not work?
What are my options here? Not looking at spending heaps, as the car is currently for sale- but it needs twin pots ASAP (I cant believe ive been driving the car for 10 months and havent already upgraded!!)
Is there anything else i'm going to need?

I don't see why the stock brake lines won't fit. Pretty sure they are a screw in fitting?! (correct me if I'm wrong!) whereas the 380 have the banjo fitting on the end
Can you get us a picture of the calipers and lines? Should of paid more attention on the weekend when my mate was putting new rotors in his facelift Legnum!

I havent got any pics, but will once they arrive. $100 is definitely better than what some people are asking for AWD brakes. I really can't believe how shite the stock brakes are on a 2000 model Verada!
