hey there,
i was wondering how weather shields fit onto a tj magna (the windows). conventionally, don't they sit on the window frame around the window? since the magna doesnt have that frame, can they have weather shields on the window? and how do they attach? and how much do they cost? and does anyone have pictures?
cheers!
Apparently, from what I've read on the forums in the past, they fit to the A pillar and roof line and are pretty tiny. They'll stop water from dripping off the roof into the car, but don't stop any rain coming in and I'm sure the original poster said they increase wind noise.
It's not my info, just what I remember reading here previously as I was wanting some also, but I think I'll skip it.

Yeah they clip along the roof line, They are pretty useless but they make do with what they have, will give you a few mm of fresh air coming in but noting fantastic.

The weatherstrips are mostly adhered, with just 2 or 3 clips on each side (one at the curve of the rear window if memory serves).
The glue-ing is a 2-stage process - a "primer" of very smelly volatile stuff which comes in a one-use pen, then when that has set its peeling backing paper off adhesive pad running the full length of the weather strip - it runs above both doors in a single strip.
Cost was in the region of $180-00 for the set (both sides of car), about 3 or 4 years ago.
Very little shielding from rain, some increase in wind-noise. You need to take care when fitting that the window glass doesn't "snag" on the weathershields - again, the curve at top-rear of rear doors was the tricky area (and probably why they put one of the clips there).
