my harmoniic balancer is broken.... it caused my alternator and power steering belts to snap.... my question is what cost is a new one.......

Well...new one..ring up your local mitsubishi? if not, 2nd hand one is about $40

well a new one from mitsub is about $500 or i can get a new non genuine one forr about $250... so the choice now is to go a new one or 2nd hand....

Doing the sums for me.... I'd be off to a self-serve wrecker. Don't think these things fail too often, so finding one that looks OK-ish off a similar model would be the way I'd go. I'd look for a wreck of an equivalent but newer car if i had the choice..... eg: I'm in a TF and H-Balancer craps out - I find a wrecked TJ where the part looks good and lloks identical - I'd get one of the TJ wreck rather than a TE wreck which is older than the car which broke. But that's just me, I'm cheap.
