I have traction control on the 30M and its new to me, both lights work (TCL on/off) and when i push the button off it displays off, when i push on, light doesnt come on. Does the green light only come on when the system is actually limiting wheelspin? oh and what do you guys think of the system, does it allow fastest acceleration possible without wheelspin, or does it overcompensate?

IMO, tcl is good for the wet weather, get good tyres and suspension and you should not need it any way.

its really only limits wheel spin, especially when cornering.

Also, the green TCL light will only come on to let you know that the system has had to limit wheel spin. So if there is no TCL light on the dash, the TCL is activated

yeah got the good suspension (Vogtland springs and KYB excels) , the tyres are actually a full set of turanzas off a 2001 model aussie diamante (i have the stock rims on), and they are OK. never noticed it been engaged or light coming on. The car handles extremely well, the 30M has the front /rear swaybars and multilink front suspension.

arhhh but is it actually a proper traction control,or a trace control as fitted to our Magnas ......if it is trace ,then it cuts the power in mid corners if the brain thinks you are going to fast and doesnt have anything to do with limiting wheelspin as such....

Oh yeah, that too lol

If you wanna go fast through corners, turn it off first! Its not fun when it turns the tap off mid corner and massive understeer very quickly turns into massive oversteer

O, i thought it applied brake to the spinning wheel thus allowing the diff the apply more force on the opposite?

nah, not that advanced. That would be ESP (stability) that brakes the opposite wheel.

Off in the wet = fun times.. In a safe area if course.
Just stops wheelspin as stated above, so wet = safe to have it on, it all depends on where your driving and how you want to drive.

The TCL system should incorporate both the traction and trace control. The switch will activate or deactivate both.
