a few people on here have used sprintex kits and they seem to like them

john_boy and QMD//801 both have Bullet kits.
Sprintex have discontinued their kits, so if you want one you'll have to find one second-hand.

the bullit kit is amazing, and there service is fantastic (not sure about sprintex).
Was at a car show with QMD//801 and some other QLD guys last year and Bullit had a display there. Anyway, when the dyno comps came around, QMD///801 couldnt go up as he needed a new belt (i think) fitted as the old one was slipping. So, on a suny sunday afternoon on the gold coast, the guys from Bullit took the part off their display car, and fitted it to the magna onsite :) This is certainly a level of service i dont think you would get from any other workshop anywhere :)

Mate that is good service! i would be wary of anything secondhand, due to the fact that if the original owner was dissatisfied with the kit enough to sell it at loss then there must be something not right, unless there is a legitimate reason.

What dont you like about the raptor kits? Have a look at my ride thread if you have not seen mine. I like it but that is each to their own i guess.

I think the raptor kits are quite tidy looking. but depends on who does it eh Rod.... lol

i dont like the polished alloy thing running from one side of the engine too the other other than that i dont hav a problem i saw the bullitt kit and was quiet happy with the way it looked , i was originally going to turbo charge it but i think its too much hassle

Aloy cover is not on mine. I am getting it modded so not too much bling under the bonet, It is not a necessity that i know of, so dont let that change your thoughts on the kit.

Yea im thinking of supercharging my Magna aswell.. I was just wondering what kind of power they put out weather it be the Raptor or the Bullet????

Mate they are the same type of supercharger (centrifugal), so what you should be asking is to how much boost you want to run. If you thinking auto magna with a blower is going to run 13 seconds, well short answer is it wont. I believe @ 9psi boost you get around 190kws at the wheels & with manual you can manage somewhere around low 13s if you lucky & that's with a crap load of other mods as well.

from wat ive seen the raptor kit the blower sits on the passenger side and the bullet kit sits on the drivers side bullet claim 12 sec on 11 psi with pistons changed me personally would be happy with low 13s i hav manual box not auto

My Raptor AWD runs the same 0-100 as a VY SS manual. You don't need big boost to make power. Increased compression and 'wilder' cams on moderate boost will be more effective and just as kind on internals. Sadly there's no real 'factory' looking install apart from the Sprintex one. Just not much room under that little hood.

My car is running 8.5 psi and i pulled a flat 13 second pass, with more work on the lanch i could have sneaked in to the 12s. Not lots done to my mine other then the raptor kit just exhaust and ralliart cams

Don't forget the ralliart lsd, hd clutch, forged pistons and king end bearings..............

haha yeah but those are only for strength. Didn't actually make it go any faster=)

as for the supercharger kit.. raptor/bullet pretty much the same, I love my setup, its nice and quiet. power is pretty much on par, if you want to stick with low boost then you can stay with stock internals, if you want it to haul ass save up the $$ and build your engine. it's pretty much as simple as that.

You can always overspeed your SC and use the EBC in the Moristech Prosequential to bleed off the boost above your 'safe for stock internals' boost level. You get the best of being able to have boost arriving early AND strong torque delivery earlier and holding. Intercooling will add 20-30% easy to non i/c outputs.

Ian what valve do you actually use to achieve this? was looking into it a little the other day

I'd imagine any electronic boost control solenoid would be ok.

Any idea of how to install? I have one but it was never installed. Could come in handy when I go for emissions test. If too difficult might throw it up for sale...

Lol I can tell you how that goes on AMC....... :doubt:
On a serious note, it's a solenoid. One terminal to earth, the other to the Moristech Prosequential output for the Boost Control solenoid (don't know the wire off-hand). See P18 of the MT Manual. You have tuning increments of 500rpm on that. Not super accurate but it's not like we're trying to contain a boost spike on a turbo install. The solenoid/valve will need to be attached to your inlet pipe, somewhere near your LHS strut tower would be useful as there's a bung that gives access for electrical connections thru the front quarter panel, then into the footwell - where your MT PS is probably hiding. It's essentially a bov that you can control.

Cool cheers. Sorry I'll rephrase - would I be able to do it? I'm finding it difficult to justify spending more money on the car for people to install things, purely because within the near future I may be selling it. Literally I cant justify spending more money modding a car when I'm probably only going to strip it anyway. The money I save on mods can be put towards a new car.
Stacky, after some serious thought last night, either the mods are going to tone down a lot to make the car more practical (nice cruiser from Newcastle to Tassie on a regular basis) so if you'd like my solenoid you can have it for cheaper than M/T retail it for. Never opened just sitting in my S/C parts box.
