Just got a 2001 tj auto dual fuel. Used to be a Ford man but have now seen the light. I come to you guys looking for help in how to mod my magna and and show all those who haven't yet "seen the light" as i chop them from the lighs. Can you guys put me onto the right gear to do the job and roughly what its going to cost. Even better if you know where to take it to get done....

muffler (most ppl go lukey and ur piping is already 2.5" mandrel no need to change)
lowering (for better handling)
pod/panel filter and CAI (or CAI kit from RPW which is v nice)
extractors

that will release a few ponies, depends how much u wanna spend really coz u can also go

Fuel Pressure Regulater (i tihnk its that)
Aftermarket piggyback, greddy e-manage or unichip
stage 1 cams
port n polish heads put to 3.7L (from memory plz feel free to correct me)
LSD (traction baby)
complete suspension setupe (1400 or so from whiteline, seems a nice kit)

the list isn in order, im too drunk to work that out but yeh if u did all that very nice car pushing 200hp ATF np, dunno how auto rans would like it tho

He's now pushing 124kw @ the wheels... an extra 24kw from cold air, and a 4in muffler. :P

You're kidding right? 24kW from essentially a filter change and different source of air? I'm extremely sceptical of such a claim. Mufflers don't even release this much power.

Porting and polishing won't increase capacity. Boring and stroking as Magnart pointed out. I think RPW have something available for a .3l increase for both engines. You could also try higher compression.

he sure did.....i would know cos i was there at the dyno with thsmoker.....the guys that did the dyno couldnt believe what they were seein out of a stock magna with cold air and zorst.....they had a tj vrx in there a few weeks before we went in and the vrx with an after market piggy comp and a custom tune and it didnt make as much kwts as th smokers!!!!! i was impressed.....oh....and ya shoulda seen the look on mine and thsmokers faces when his car was breakin traction and smokin the tyers in second gear on the dyno....was freakin awsome....and on a side note, i am pretty sure he will have more kwts now after his last mod but i wont give it away :cool:

Okay, cool. I'm sure you realise that they're pretty subjective. There was a dyno day for Street Commodores and a lot of owners were a little upset that their figures were off the mark from previous dynos. Even the owners car was down a good 80-100HP at the wheels. Anyway, a gain is a gain - well done!
