Hy from Germany.
I and some of my friends have a question.
On picture you can see on the mudguard (left and right) a little piece (part) in silver.
Is there anybody, who can tell me witch function this parts are for or what it is???
Please excuse my bad English, but my schooldays are more than 20 years ago:io:

Are we talking about the small silver bits on the top of the front guards next to the bonnet?
If so, I think these are Indicators on some cars (maybe a Japanese car thing).

i had them on my cressida,
they are meant to be so you can park at night time easily.

Yep, they are repeater indicator lights, required on Japanese spec cars but nowhere else in the world. Just to let the person half a car length behind you and to the left or right know you want to change lanes. If they are close to you their view of the front indicator lights may be obstructed as they are lower down on the car.

Nope, you only have yourself to blame. Have fun cutting holes in your guards and then filling them in when you change your mind, when you realise how f'ugly they are. lol

Hallo again from Germany.
I'm searching for 4 of this parts. Is there a possibility to bye such "blinkers"?
In Ebay Australia I have a friend. He is searching for such parts.
But I will pay a lot more than 5 $ for them ;-). And I know, that are shipping costs below 11 $.
By the hope of a quick answer from the real other side of the world... Ralf from Germany

To add to this.
Did some more searching....
Toyota cressida ones on the OUTSIDE are the same, however they use the fibre optical cable to transfer light instead of a T5 globe. Even underneath is different.
So to source come locally and cheaply, Toyota cressida ones will suffice but NFI on how to get the fibre optics to work :(

I'm pretty sure they don't flash? they just glow a constant colour... Seen heaps on Jap cars over the years.
[TUFFTR]

Nah they are a constant glow, but easier to make the mitsubishi type work then the toyota fibre optic type

Thanks for searching. I get 3 pairs of such blinkers. Two with optical cable and one pair with globes and electrical wire.
I load up an address with pictures of my car and some "untypical" parts.
Maybe I'm looking in your forum some times, but I haven't got much time because work, family, house, motorcycle and a nice car,....

The old Chrysler by Chrysler had these with their Electronic Lean Burn (ELB) system. They were also indicators as mentioned above but too much throttle and the driver side light lit up in proportion to the amount of excess throttle. You were meant to ease off throttle until the light went out and that was optimal acceleration.

Thank you all for Help and searching.
Here are some pictures of the car from my friend. He used some "blinkers" (from a friend how lives in Australia) with electrical wire and they are perfect for Mitsubishi magna tr/ts to (lock at the first 4 pictures)
I drive a station wagon. For this car wasn't possible to use the "blinkers". Only up to 1992 version of sedan was prepared for use such "blinkers".
