View Full Version : how do i stop sub moving ARO!!!!

people i brought a box for my sub from repco for $48 and the price tag said $59 but im not complaining the reason i bought a new box was because i had a ****ty box that i made by my self so as you can imagine it was **** alot of vibration noise but i put my sub in to the new box and it sounds so much better but i just need suggestions how the **** do you stop the sub from flying around in your boot can i please have some suggestions on ideas i was thinking L shape brackets or elastic belt behind it from one side of the boot to the other please help me

some sort of bracket is ur best bet. mine is just 2 heavy to move. took me and my bro to lift it in. plus it just fits between the wheel arches.

just go to the hardware and buy some cheap L brackets.

i had l brackets and i bent them all.
if you can fabricate some sort of bracket then do a long one and screw it where the lining gets screwed.

I just have two L shaped brackets that are screwed down to the MDF board that covers the spare tyre. here is a pic

i had this problem, and as my boot is small i couldnt mount the sub and get to the spare tyre without taking the whole boot floor out, so i cut the corner of the boot floor, screwed the box onto that now i can easyily lift it out and then also i can use more boot when i need to

You can take out your back seat, and drill through the metal and bolt it on to there - it doesnt affect anything since that bit of metal is thin anyway..
thats the best and easiest way

I just used L-shaped brackets and bolted them down to the MDF thats located in the boot to cover the spare wheel..
