hey guys, im kinda regretting the fact that i bought an auto, ...well seeing as i couldnt find a manual advance/altera with less than 20,000 km avg for sale it was a bit hard. anyhows i was just wondering how much it would cost to get a manual conversion, has anyone got it quoted before...has anyone had it done before??
and if so, how did it turn out?

1 of my Friends got his Soon-to-be single Turbo'd TR converted from Auto to manual.
Full Job of it all in under a day.ECU and Box.he payed under 3 grand for it all too,as he and his mate helped to put it in.2nd hand box also.
Unsure of the 3rd gens sorry

What ECU did he use? Was it an aftermarket system, piggyback or did he need to use a manual ECU and if so, why?

As far as i know,he used the ECU from the Same car as where he got the Manual box,I'll have to get some more info on that though, but i'm pretty sure that's all he did.

ixnay, the cheapest way to do it is to trade your car in for a manual before you mod your current one too much!!!
