i've searched and searched but can't find the info i need

i've blown my motor up in my TL, i've got a new donor car, but it's auto and mine is manual,

are there any do's and don't with this conversion? auto engine into manual car

need a lot of help, have mechanical knowledge but have no knowledge in magna's!

thanks

Auto engine is the same as a manual engine, So it's not really a conversion, unlike holden motor's which use different crank's and whatknot auto to manual these are the same

there is also a pin that you will need to flick out to get your manual box unstuck off your current motor. you will have to do a search on that as i cannot tell you 100% how it's done (never worked on a 3rd gen manual off the car) besides that, yeah mate as you described to get the auto off, be careful...it's a HEAVY automatic (remember has automatic transmission and the diff in one unit its a good 60kg++)

Good luck!

Go on the Exedy site and find the pull bearing removal instructions.
This shows you how to get the release bearing apart from the clutch pressure plate

okies new question, can the engine loom from a tl go into a tj?

Also have searched is there a thread for dash / stereo removal?

You need to change over the flywheel and sandwich plate

The clutch is a pull type and needs to be properly released

The loom can not be changed over as the TL shares the ABS and Engine loom where as the TJ runs separate looms

well after well over a year now, i've finally got time to change the engine over and get the car going again!

will hopefully start tomorrow, with pulling the engine out are there any do's or don't , other than the clutch realse bit?
