thermo fans im preety sure where fine untill i degreased my engine bay and now they will not come on.

any ideas?

also is it hard to make it so the fans come on whenever you start the car / put accs power on?

Could be a short somewhere. However, generally, these fans only come on when required (engine gets hot and/or AC is on).

ahh kk i got abit worried cause i thought i saw smoke coming fromt he radiator but since calming myself a little relised it could have just been from the degreaser, goona go out now and try to see if it does it again now it has had time to settle.

so with the engine and the ac on they come on straight away, still abit of like steam / smoke when fans where off ( as soon as i turned ac off they went off) but nowhere near as much so im thinking it was just from the degreasing thanks man stress attack averted,

The big one will come on when the car gets to about 80 degree's. The smaller one will ONLY come in with A/C to draw air over the condensor. (it will trigger both IIRC)

Wait till it gets to operating temperature and check if it comes on, if not, you more then likely have water in the plug (although they are waterproof so its strange) so clean out with compressed air and should be right

Just make sure you did not get water into your distributor cap. You won't notice anything while idling, only when you drive would you find it accelerating irratically.

nah i was smart enough to cover the alt and dizzy with a old cloth nappy i ws handed for rags when the bubs went into disposables and tied it tight with some old brushcutter cord to protect it :D
