Usually if you are getting fogged up inside the car turning on the AC will fix it regardless of heater setting. Pointing the AC air at the offending window, ie the front windscreen in this case will get the job done quicker, but once the AC is on the drier air conditioned air will begin removing the fog on the windows.
I've been getting this this past week as it's been getting colder. I may give my windows a clean as it doesn't normally happen to me.
If using AC doesn't help then you may have a problem with your AC system. I got a hole in a heater core in a previous car and ANY use of the heater resulted in lots of foggy windows and AC couldn't fix it, needed a new heater core which was an expensive dash out fix.

open the window a tad to will help remove the moist air as it is warmer
If you have a sunroof just tilt it open will acheive the same result
But run the A/C the foggie screen is moist air the A/C dries the air out

Fogging windows in the cold nights and morning is quite a normal occurence, humidity, from yourself (breath, sweat etc.) and more humidity from the warmer air of the day, will condensate on the colder windows like sweat forms on a cold beer glass.
Turn on your AC and turn on your heater, warm air can absorb more moisture, as cold cannot hold moisture. turn up the fan too high or too cold, after a while can result in the reverse, with cold air cooling the window so that moisture from outside sticks to the exterior windscreen glass, this is removed by your wipers though.
I suspect that recirculate would be the best setting, to remove moisture from inside the cabin it needs to run through the A/C, many times over, opening windows and sunroofs will slow this process down, as the air can pass through only once, leaving a certain amount of humidity in the air. So a quick blast from the AC on the windscreen to start, then a slower fan speed, not too hot and not too cold.
Hope this helps.
Excess moisture in the cabin is a sign to make sure the heater core in a magna is not leaking, with replacing the seals the general repair method, but there has been no such problems with the 380 yet.
Mecha's suggestion about fresh may help as drier air is replacing humid air, but only within the 30-60 seconds I'd suspect.

cheers guys, i thought that maybe a setting i had the A/C on was causing the windows to fog up.

Keeping the windows clean and free from the crap build up can help minimise the fog effects too.
Also, you can use the Anti-Fog/No Fog type products available form kmart / car accessory places - they work well.

dont bother with anti fog
just clean you windscreen with a MF cloth once a week to remove build up and you should be fine if you have excessive build up use an ammonia free glass cleaner preferably an Automotive specific product

Agreed.
I tied Rainex anti-fog and it did little other than make the inside of the window very hard to clean.

From memory, Mitsu reprogrammed the climate control from the TL/KL on wards my switching on the AC as soon as the windscreen vent was selected to demist. Note however when you first turn it on, it may get a bit more foggy as it blast moist air that is already in the pipes onto the winscreen but the fog should disappear within 5 seconds.
