I posted a topic earlier on a tiny metalic sound which occurs at low rpm. Had a mate look and listen to the car n he is pretty sure its due to pinging. Not knowing much on this what are my options to fix this and how much will it cost me.

dude, I had the same problem in my old car (suzuki swift) and solved the problem by running premium unleaded all the time, sometimes with octane booster. That may help

The way to resolve the problem of Pinging is to retard the Dizzy.

go to a mechanic, get it checked out. then go to another an get a 2nd opinion. there is no way anyone in here is able to diagnose the fault through a computer :D

Yeh jst booked the car into a trusted mechanic, sort of in the family, so we wil see what happens with it. It is a TF magna by the way and i have also noticed using premium unleaded curbs the noise.

Anyone have any ideas tho on how much it will cost me, like ballpark figure.
