G’day all,

I’ve got my hands on a Verada front map light cluster and I’m in the process of replacing the standard centre dome light with this one.

Anyway, I’m just worried about cutting into my headlining. Can someone give me some tips on how to get it to fit? Is it a simple process of cutting a hole big enough, or is there more to it?

i did it in my tj... i just cut out the roof lining from a car at the wreckers that had the verada map lights, traced it in to mine, cut it out and put the mountin bracket in...yes there is holes for the bracet even if you didnt have one factory...and the wires are there ready to go, just gotta splice into em. all up took about 30mins, if ya not sure hav a practice at the wreckers (i did :P)

Thanks for the reply, I should have said in my original post, I'm not replacing the front map lights; I'm replacing the central dome light with the Verada map lights.

I'm thinking I should take it to a professional. Not sure I trust my hands with cutting the headlining :doubt:

same thing go back to the wreckers and cut the roof lining and trace it onto your roof....

wont the map lights not work, as they would be aiming at a different spot? that assembly is ment go towards the front of the car, near the rear vision mirror
