I just managed to pick up some 380 cams for $200, do i need to grab cam gears as well for best results?

Where did you get the cams from?! Dude you must tell me! And eclipse cams off ebay USA fit straight in. Costs about 100usd

I used my 3.5 cam gears. So you will be fine.

I think he means adjustable cam gears? lol
I can't really answer this as I've never driven a FWD with the 380 cams, but I'd imagine they might come in handy to lift the power a bit higher up in the rev range so that you can avoid wheelspin.

I am pretty sure they are different. The 380 6G75 uses the ralliart cams.

You should be ok then. If you have queries about this i would give Steve Knight a call. Although he did mine and said there was no issue in using the 3.5 ones. His number is in my profile.

Yes, that was my u'standing as well. The eclipse is MIVEC too is it not?

Best to ask Madmagna about this then but I'm pretty sure there's no difference between the cam gears in the '74 & '75 motors.

When i built the 3.8 for that guy in WA, the cams gears were the same as the old stock ones from my old 3.5 when compared side by side.

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I'll find out in a week or 2 when I throw my adjustables on the 3.8l.

My cams just came in. Just want to make sure i didnt get ripped of, they have engraving EJ25 & A4 on the other side. Cheers
