AFAIK, it should just bolt straight on. Line up your wing onto the boot lid and make sure you are 100% happy with its location before you start drilling. There should already be enough room inside your boot lid to screw the nuts onto the locating bolts off the wing. I would use a small pin punch to help locate the drill bit as you dont want it to go hay wire over your boot lid and have scratches everywhere. This will also let you know where the locating bolts will pop through on your boot lid and where its going to line up.

on the inside edge of the boot theres a flat section about half way down, thats where the front bolts of the spoiler go. for the back bolts u will need to drill through from the top and then through the inside skin and fit a rubber grommet after bolting the spoiler on.

the stud on the wing are very short ? the front bolts it ooks like i need to grind some of the inside skin of to get a flush fit ?

and the centre bolts i need to also drill the inside skin out to get a bolt in

the studs on my wing are only 2-3 cms long

i put one on my tj yeah i had to cut away abit to beable to get bolt in
after making a small hole used a bigger drill bit to make the skin first layer from the inside of the boot bigger to get access to bolt in if that makes sense

im kind of confused at how nobody seems to have an idea on this as the workshop say they have spent " most of the day " fitting this spoiler !

from the number of people who have fitted spoilers to their cars i would have though this would get a better response

i should get the car back this afternoon and will take some pics to document exactly what had to be done

not having a go mang i understand you dont have the car

just that removing / fitting a rear wing would be one of the most common mods and theres not really any documentation anywhere. if the professional panelbeaters are taking a full day to fit it either theres abit more to it than " just frkn bolt it on " or i need to go smack some heads together at the shop !

I put the ralliart spoiler onto my old tj vrx I lined the spoiler up with the existing holes and use bluetac to get the location of the holes that required drilling. I used a center punch to make sure the drill didn't slip. Once drilled I had no issue bolting it on and didn't need to grind anything. Whole process took an hr with a mate helping.
We also put one onto my mates tl vrx but none of the holes lined up so we put bluetac onto the bolts again and moved it round until we liked the position then transferred the bluetac onto the boot. Center punched the holes and drilled, again no issue bolting on. This one took a little longer.
We also put the vrx spoiler onto a ba falcon that belongs to my mates father. Same process of putting it onto the tl.
I have no photos to show right now cause my mates car is with him and my vrx is in a paddock but I can post some tonight.
