Having a serious look at updating to a 380. Want either a 2007 SX or 2008 Series III . Don't like the rear lights of the VRX.

Any hoo ... What are the differences between these two models if any ?

Looking at dark tint , rear spoiler and mesh alloys to mod straight up. Any other ops ? Liked the front bar painted / vinyl wrap idea as well.

series 1 and 2 have the "tupperware" lights, series 3 vrx has the lesser model lights. As far as differences between the vrx and sx is concerened there is very little difference in series 2's apart from leather on the vrx and the rear lights, tinted front lights...its mostly cosmetic they still have the same drivetrain and features apart from bluetooth which is an option on the sx and im fairly sure standard on the vrx?? series 3 vrx doesnt come with leather standard but does have a more agressive (still underdone in my opinion) but the spec list is still virtually the same.

Basically, as far as the vrx/sx and gt go just try and get the best value car you can find...the driving experience is exactly the same.

Regards the ebay links the white one is an ES....im fairly sure if you look around you should be able to find higher spec models within that price range with around the same kays.

If you want a manual you are limitd to ES & VRX, no such thing as an SX, LX or GT manual (unless converted after market, and I've never heard of such a conversion).

AFAICT, looking at a few advertised for sale, the Platinum specs are:

S2 & S3 - Front bar same as VRX (mesh insert & driving lights), clear headlights (not smokey), rear bar & lights same as ES, TCL & Bluetooth.

S2 - Leather steering wheel gear knob & handbrake lever, 6 stacker CD, multifunction display, white faced dials. Pretty much VRX spec except for seat logos.

S3 - None of the above S2 interior fruit, ES spec interior.

So the S2, other than for the rear bar & lights, is virtually identical to a VRX, but the S3 misses out on much of the interior fruit.

And I spotted a couple of manual Platinums for sale (both S3).

So as Stormie says, if you are after a manual the S2 Platinum would be the way to go.

A platinum with leather seats and sunroof is the only way to go in my opinion.
