For a long time now, when I use the factory bluetooth in my 380 people say that the line is bad - they can hear a buzzing sound (like an electric shaver).

The strange thing is I have managed to narrow this down to happen only when my headlights are turned on. If I turn off my headlights - the people I am speaking with on the phone say the sound goes away.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Will have to test it with another phone to check whether it is the phone or the car

tested it with another phone (different brand) - exactly the same thing. My end in the car sounds fine - but background buzz with headlights on... weird

I know this isnt the same but I think there's an issue with wiring or what not. My radio goes out of reception and buzzes when the rear demister is on.

Hmmm not sure whether to go to the dealer about this. I question whether they would be able to resolve it and I will just be wasting my time leaving the car with them.

I say it an wiring issues um I think have an idea I have no idea if will work.

Alright where your lamps plug into the headlight get what they call ferrite bead you can buy them jaycar. Wrap the plug around the ferrite bead :) You will need two. I find you a link of what I'm talking about.

Jaycar link ferrite bead (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=LF1290&keywords=ferrite&form=KEYWORD)

Like this said this may work we had piece of electrical equpiment that suffer from interfrence this solve it :)

if your still under warranty (< 5 years), take it in and get it checked out. sometimes these things can work out expensive

people often complain to me about the buzzing also. My mate called me up the other day from his 380 and he was complaining of the static but i couldn't hear it. As soon as i activated the hand set i heard it from his one. Interesting about the head lights doing it. Ill try it with them on and off. My globes are standard. I have had mine back at mitsu on several occasions regarding the blue tooth and they couldn't find anything wrong with it so not sure if you'd be wasting your time, one thing i noticed with mine is my hang up button doesn't light up at night and i've lost lights around my gear selector, p,r,n,d. Though i still have the plus and minus lighting up, hmmm
