Yeah was going to say it, but Milo beat me to it... Mine had 176,000 km's before it was fatally crippled by a garage falling down on it. well not fatal, but too much panel damage to fix so it became a real nice organ donor. I have owned a 1984 Ford Falcon (Ex Taxi) I bought it at 981,XXX km's and a mate wrote it off for me when it got back round to 72,XXX Km's.

286500 on my TS, engine was rebuilt but only because a garage screwed up a chain replacement and stuffed the engine, tied the adjuster back with a cable tie and forgot to release it, never knew till the engine was stripped down.
Manual gearbox is original and still in great cond, original clutch changed with engine rebuild at approx 220000km and wasnt even slipping, but was badly worn obviously.
Only probs I have now is lifter tick

Pretty fine. I havent driven her for over a month (been at the world cup) so currently stuck driving a VE senator. Need to change lifters, clutch master cylinder, and a bearing on the power steering pump.
It just shows when you look after them and become familiar with your engines they're quite happy to keep going.
I reckon the 3gen V6s are bullet proof. Sounds like the 2gen v6s are pritty strong to

It's in pretty poor condition - the old couple I got it off were the original owners and did what they should have, but they were clearly being taken for a ride by the mechanic they used... So many basic things that had not been done for almost the entire life of the car, and I'm paying for it now in blood and sweat. (not having the cash to pay for it in money)

214,000 KR Rada, 1993. v6.
probably was close to ceasing the engine 2 months ago, had no oil in it, engine was banging, runs fine now but dont know how much ive shortend the engine life by.. i now run the thicker oil in it 10w 50 i think it is , shell helix
Someone said its going to use more fuel and it also puts more work for the oil pump aswell, previously running 10w 40 oil.

Just to revive an old thread
My '94 TS is on about 396800k now and still going fairly strong.
Considering how badly I have treated her and at one point I was seeing how far I could push it (in terms of rough driving and bad maintenance) just to see what the limits were.
I have only had it for about 50,000kms and almost lost the car after the tensioner bolt snapped off and I decided I might as well see how far I could make it home.
I will let you all know when I hit 400,000

They are certainly designed to see the toughest Australian conditions! Its sad to see the day when such a good car is availiable for just a few hundred. There so underrated.
My replacement 2nd gen has barely left the tarmac, with only 251,000 :) I never realised how smooth the V6 was until i had to move the family's 4 cyl. There's a big difference!

My TS V6 wagon (just an Exec.) has just turned over 220,000+/-. Just fitted a new exhaust not long ago...Alternator died four days ago ($300 fix) ...I changed the idle control motor last year...it's had new tie rods and the motor and trans are still fine. The only niggles are that there's valve clatter on startup (common in the 3.0l V6) and that the car doesn't have any ABS or airbags...but having said that I have always been told that the TS body is very tough and survives collisions really well because it's one of the first examples of Mitsubishi's "RISE" technology and they put a lot of time and effort into the design.
