A waste of time. I personally tried this on my TR V6.
Made the car run stupid (ie idle sat on 2,000rpm all the time) and didnt really seem to increase power at all
Only costed me $30 including postage so i didnt really mind giving it a go

so waste of time, but how the hell does it work? does it just plug into the ecu? or do you just leave it in the engine bay, close the bonnet and magic!!

It's a unanimate grey plastic box with wires... bombard the seller with technical questions and watch them run a mile.

Well its got SOMETHING in there. Probably some 20cent component from Dick Smith
Its definitly not straight through wires cause it made my car run weird

Please these things are rubbish!
They are all the same, don't buy anything like this on EBAY of all places! This is one of the worse examples, I mean look at it...it just looks dodgy!
It'll have a resistor or something like that, to make the car think there is more oxygen than what is actually there and it'll make your car run rich. At least that's how all the others I've seen on Ebay work.
They're all rubbish. Stick to names that are known.
I think this should be said..
There is no cheap way to get more horsepower/kw's

What are you to upto huh??? lol
With regards to the cheap power up device in question I can almost garentee it is just a resistor of some sort in a box so that it looks technical and complex :doubt:

I think if it was painted a fast colour, like red, or black with a red strip it would make a difference. a grey box will only give you like 5hp, a go-fast red box is bound to give you at least 20hp.
Oh oh, and throw on a ralliart sticker, that's another 5hp

ive done that, i pulled it apart after my bro took it out of his car cause it was ****, it has nutin in it, just wat looks like a resistor like others were saying.

something that may/may not be useful would be a capacitor. This would filter the signal, so that glitches would be filtered out. A slight ripple in the air sensor, cause it's too close to your vibrator that you left in the bonnet  would be smoothed over a little bit, so the car isn't constantly trying to change from high air to low air.
My explination sounds dodgy, so if anyone wants to come up with a better explination of my theory, please do.
