2004 lancer - manual, of course.
Nice car, not mine, wife's shopping trolley.
Anyone know how robust the clutch is, how long it will last, and is it a push or pull design?
I like the looks of the current sportsback. Might get one when I wear out my two TS magnas. lol

if my proton satria xli was anything to go by then it was in top form after 10 years/130000km of spirited to hard driving on a daily basis

Protons came with Mitsu engines I believe. The clutch in the Lancer feels underpowered in some situations. No problem, did a clutch replacement on a 2.6L manual magna last year, the Lancer would be the same job, just on a smaller scale. Will see how long it lasts. Just heard some "younger drivers" (aka hoons) can go through a clutch in 20,000 Km.

yeah the early protons are lancers/mirages... mine had the 4g92 1.6 in it (i miss it, but the family needed a car and the satria was the oldest car)
i think that the young, inexperienced, lead footed drivers are capable of frying anything that you throw at em.
