What are the chances of having a busted cruise control actuator or motor?

The story is.
My accelerator pedal gets stuck every now and then, (I'm not using cruise control) it used to be when it was cold now it's just random.
I got a new accelerator cable about a year ago, because the old one was done.
But it seamed to get worse after I changed the spark and rocker cover seals about a month ago.

So today I removed the hose from the cruise control motor and it does not do it any more, well that I'm aware.

So can anyone shed any light on this? I have done a search, nothing on the problem I have.

Just a thought but maybe the throttle body is dirty? When I was testing out a car to buy, I found the accelerator 'sticky' where it almost was like it had a switch in it.... told my mate whose a mitsu mechanic about it, and he said it could've been a dirty throttle body.....

Simple throttle stop screw adjustment needed.

DO NOT TOUCH THE STOP SCREW FFS, this is factory set and needs to stay there

The common issue with the throttle, gum builds up behind the throttle plate, get some carb cleaner, give it a good clean out and your problem will most likely go away

i would say then it was either not cleaned properly or there may be an issue with the cruise vac pod / lever
