My fuel gauge has stopped working but it works every now and then. I suspect loose wiring but I don't know how to remove the dash to find out. The Gregorys manual is less than helpful. Has anybody done this job and can give advice?

Either sender or the voltage regulator on the back of the dash thing. There are two little things that look like vents near the cluster, pop in a small screw driver and pop them out(they will break) remove the screws then wing it from there.
The voltage regulator is a little black squarish thing with three legs, you should be able to pick one up at an electronics store.
