My TF Magna is oozing a bit of coolant into the passenger compartment, and so I expect a heater core seal. Because it is (currently) a small leak and I have heard that they are a pain to fix, is it worth trying some sort of radiator sealant additive, or do these things cause more problems than they solve?

A number of forum threads make mention of a DIY guide (prepared by MadMagna I think) that describes how to remove the heater core WITHOUT de-gassing the AC. I have had no luck finding the guide. Can someone provide a link to it, or to a similar guide

Thanks

Dont use stop leak, it just clogs the rest of your system

Thanks MadMagna - much appreciated.

While I am possibly on a roll here, are you able to point me in the direction to the link for the TF shop manual. My previous hunting only turned up PDFs for the Series either side

Thanks

That's a good "How-to" MadMagna. After reading it, I figure if my heater ever leaks it will be blanked off!

i just read that heater core "how to" and have a question. - how much is a new genuine heater core if needed ? and is the old one ok to re use every time just by replacing the O rings?
