you can use the auto centre in these as well, far cheaper option

If you are using the diff out of an auto, how do you remove the crown wheel as I also need to do the same thing?

Easy, it simply unbolts from the centre, the crownwheel is not what generally gives the issue, it is the centre gears that break and cause it all to come to a halt
