What's the deal with the amount of fuel Magna's seem to go through when starting cold? My mate recently bought a TF and was complaining that every time he starts his car in the morning he loses half a notch of fuel by the time it comes up to temperature and I've noticed it too with mine which sucks when you want to do a quick trip down the road and back only to lose a shitload of fuel doing it.

Is there a solution to this? Mine has always been properly serviced every 10k and the engine has never had issues but it just burns through fuel ridiculously when cold.

Although I dont know the perfect ratio of air:fuel at idle, your car needs more fuel when cold to stay...well working. if it runs too lean it will stall. Although I can't state weather or not your issue is "normal" or not, you have a cold start map which will inject more fuel when cold up until about 60 degree's or so when the car then use's it's normal fueling map.

So even if it's using MORE fuel then "normal" when cold, it will always use more then cold regardless as well...that's what needs to happen

All cars use more fuel when cold.
