So i just picked up my RA and it needs a tune but until i can organise a time to book it in for one is there a simple way i can just turn it off so the car runs on it's factory tune?
Cheers

No chance mate. E6X is a full replacement ECU. It could possibly be run in piggyback mode but I doubt he spent $2000 on an ECU to do a job a $300 ECU does. Chances are that runs the whole motor.
Even if it was a piggyback, there is no "off" switch. MUCHHHHHH more complicated then that.

at best, there would be at least 6 wires you would have to find and solder back together that have been cut, and then you would have to return the e6x back to 0/reset. As said its a standalone unit, so chnces are the original ecu isnt even in the car.

just get your e6x tuned!
as stated the e6x is a standalone not a piggy back, i've got one wired into my supra.
i doubt its a plug and prey.. i mean play loom as even my supra didn't have one available you will probably need to buy/revert back to a factory loom and ecu

When you crank it and you think its started it'll just die then after a few goes it'll start a bit rough then it might die then i'll crank it and it'll start and idle beautifuly but just over fueling until warm.

You can download all haltech software off the website. So as long as you have the data port hook up in your cab tyson you should be able to view and save all your ECU to the laptop.
