Cutting spring is dangerous and shouldn't be done, so keep your standard height until you can afford lower spring :)

Lower springs just a pair cost $124.25 but you can get them cheaper. Save your money do the spring first then paint your dash lol

Compressing is safer than cutting, cheap aswell.
Cutting is unbelievably unsafe, and illegal. Save for a set of king lows (eBay = cheap)
If you want an idea of cheap and low check out my ride or Tufftr's rear setup.

i know it wicked
but it was lowered cutting 2 coils and basicly the shocks was bottoming out on slight bumps and front mud flapps were scrapping alog the ground
but i didnt do any cutting and it wasnt my car, it my old man tr he got for $50 and done a full verada convertion form motor to seats even roof lining and not long ago home job respray by me, it is hard to fit a 95 ks motor into a 91 tr as new engine mount had to be made on the body, my old man want me to start a thread about this car

but i strongly think it you want this low u will need either coil overs or lowered shock with reset lowered springs

Find a KR verada, they are on airbags, and because the engine mount had to be welded is it still legal? I don't think it would be. Would of been easier to buy a V6...

I can do King lows for you for $240 for a set of 4 Brand new ones, thi sis by far the best way to go

With an engine mount, did not really see where that refrence came from but it is not illegal at all provided you get an engineer to certify that the mount is suitable, this should not be all that difficult given that you would be using a mount from a v6 body anyway

well the car passed blue slip inspection 100%
we didnt use the mount of the v6 body but i faded up the new one as the 4cyl mount on the passnager is about 2 inches back than a v6 one

Well that's what I meant, would of though chopping the engine mount and replacing it with another one would be illegal *without* an engineer's cert...still reckon it would of been way easier to just use a V6...

If this one got repainted, and recieved the whole motor, dash, wiring, seats, and gearbox....why didnt it just stay in the verada?:S

yeah... cutting springs seems like a great idea but it breaks things. i had 3 coils out front and rear and it made most roads painful to drive. i think the shock of constantly bottoming out also cracked my radiator.
you might also want shocks to suit, lowering with standard shocks makes for terrible ride quality.

well the tr was $50 and the verada was i write off as it bent the sub frame and we got everything besides the front and rear light and abs for $500
