Hey wondering if anyone has done or knows how and can give me some directions to assist me in making a simple capacitor type high pass filter for my rear speakers, to run it inline from my deck.
I can but dont really want to run a dedicated amp for the rears as they are only factory jobs, I like a small amount of rear fill but not a lot and with the sub and splits there is plenty of bass on tap.
Any tips appreciated.

Depends on how serious you want to get.
Easiest way is 6db / octave type which you have a few options ( all HP, wire onto the positive of the speaker ):
100Hz - 400uF
150Hz - 260uF
200Hz - 200uF
I probably would go 150Hz minimum since it only 6db / oct.
Non-polarised electrolytic capacitors are the best way to go!

Thanks heaps buddy.
Hmmm so a 300uf wired inline would roughly give me about 120-130hz?
Something like this? Here (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=RY6932&CATID=51&form=CAT&SUBCATID=877)

Yeah 320uF is about 125Hz, so the 300uf will be around 130Hz like you said above.
I think that was the one I used once for my Sony 6x9's running off a headunit before I took them out.
When I get around to re-hooking up my rear RF 2 ways, I will HP them with a 100uF filter ( 400Hz 6db/oct ).
