just wondering if there is a NOID available for injector harness testing that will suit the Mitsu plugs? ive seen ones for Bosch , GM , Ford available on ebay but no Mitsu ones.
if not , i guess i can always make one that can plug into the 7 pin injector plug at the manifold. i would do it with 6 leds and 1k resistors ( one for each injector ).

and is there a way of testing the output from the Crank Angle Sensor , maybe by using an LED also.?

i am asking all this cos i was trying to find why the car would stop for no reason and then not start again till it cooled down. the NRMA mech traced it using these 2 methods to corroded pins at the 3pin CAS plug.
spliced in another plug/socket and its purrfect now.

The standard PFI or TBI will both work fine, some of the ford ones are also similar

In general, if the pins are close together they will work

thanks for that Mal. as an experiment i placed an LED with resistor across the crank sensor connector and saw the LED flash while the engine was being cranked. so this is an instant way of telling if the CAS is working as it should.
the engine would not start with the LED loading the signal so it must be really low current , but a good diagnostic tool anyway.

i think i'll make a NOID that will plug into the injector harness anyway. reason being its too much work to get to individual injectors and there is low chance of ever being a wiring fault between the 7pin and the individual inj connector. this will check pulses to all 6 at once.
