I've been quoted $600-$800 to replace the 4 engine mounts to my 1992 TR -- Is this a good price? Apparently all 4 are gone and the engine is sagging.

Question is: How long would I have before the whole thing goes caput (assuming I didn't get the engine mounts replaced right away)?

You'd be looking at around $100 a mount brand new each. So with labor, $600 would sound ABOUT right.

You can DIY it if you have a jack, some stands and a good 1/2" tool set....

Also your engine wont go caput....it'll vibrate more and more but won't die.
