chrome strip on rear can get at Mitsi dealer
of the 2 grilles only the second will fit your car as the first one is for a ES/LS/GTL and their front bars are different to the SX

Right on both counts.
Chrome strip is around $60 IIRC and is an easy DIY job, even I managed it!
I didn't price what a dealer would charge to fit it but I wouldn't expect much change out of $100.
There's a post or two around here somewhere with measurements and tools needed, from memory all you need is a measuring tape/rule, a marker pen, a drill, a small drill bit for making the guide holes and a 5, 5.5 or 6mm drill bit. But double check the main drill bit size as it's vital you get it right.

Yes Type40, Mecha is incorect. The GT-L has the same front bar as the SX and VRX.
I think the grill that SMK380 would like the most is my Series IV grill :-)

apparently prototypes for a series 4 grille (pretty sure that was unconfirmed)

build quality isn't the best in my opinion mate. I brought my 20's from them in October last year and since then i have cracked 3 rims 4 times. And they haven't even been on the car the whole time, i take them off and run stocks for big trips to queensland and melbourne which i do a lot as it uses abit more fuel with 20's and the roads aren't the best. I took them back to Tempe to complain and he basically didn't wanna know about it and pretty much told me to F off after telling me to stop hitting pot holes, i run a 235/35 profile which isn't too small, so after refusing his offer to sell me another set of 20's he just walked away not answering my question about a warranty or anything. I have been back there to complain several times but have gotten no where. I like my wheels but I know that i won't be going there again for a new set when the time comes

I've heard many stories on Tempe Tyres, but don't understand why the rims could be so crap when they only sell the wheels, not actually make them.
I've been there twice, a great range of rims on display. At least go there just to get some ideas... then go elsewhere to buy if you prefer.

its where they get them from Grubco, they would pay SFA for them oversea's mate and selling them here for what they want here, i agree, great range at Tempe, but thats it. it stops there as far as anything else goes

It certainly pays to have good quality rims and tyres. I have been through so many massive pot holes lately (early morning dark, couldn't see them) and fortunately haven't busted a rim or blistered a tyre (phew!). I'm sure with dodgy cheap stuff I'd be back on my 16s by now...

OK, new rims now on, a few have been asking for some pics, so links to pics below.
Unfortunately it was dark by the time i got home so the shots are taken inside my garage, where there isn't much room to get back away from the car and the lighting is pretty crappy. And also excuse my poor photography & Photobucket skillz.

Sorry Chris, they're not dirty yet, no need for a clean!
Maybe in a week's time?
SA regs are that the overall replacement wheel/tyre diameter is no more than 15mm greater or less than the OEM diameter.
Base 2005 380 OEM = 215/60 16 = 664mm diameter.
My new setup = 245/30 20 = 656mm diameter.
So not a problem, only 8mm less than stock. That's right, the 20s are less overall diameter than the 16s!
They stick out 23mm more than stock and are only *just* legal in this regard (not sticking out past the top of the wheel arches, but only a mm to spare!).
The old 2" bigger than stock rule is dead & buried, if it wasn't I couldn't go bigger than 18s.
Even then I have stuck on a VRX tyre placard which shows OEM as 215/55 17, which under the old rule would let me go to 19s and no more. I stuck on a VRX placard only to
'play safe' with load rating, as my last tyres were rated 93W whereas the stockers are rated 95 and the VRX tyres are rated 93.
The new tyres are rated 97W so well clear of any problems.

Yep, I'm selling them, already have a buyer lined up, and if that falls through I've a couple of others in the queue.
I seem to have accidentally hijacked this thread, time we got back to the OPs questions!

If you just want cheap, I think Tempe Tyres would be the best for cheap prices. They have 20in packages for what 19s were worth a few years back (ie around $2000), with some even lower! (Some small/local shops have sales with low prices too, from time to time)
However Tempe has a bad reputation with some people, saying they sell cheap rubbish... up to your judgement on that. (I've been through a couple of potholes lately and have been lucky that my rims and tyres are still intact).
Also, that's the same rim that MCHenry (another member here) had on his 380, but in 22s and chrome.
Nice rim though.

Very nice choice in rims. As David said I had these on my car, before they got stolen. They make the 380 look VERY classy.

Mate you need some coilovers from K-Sport.
More like front 2.5" front & rear 2" to balance the guard gaps. Mine is currently sitting down 60mm on the front & 50mm rear with the coilovers. Having a few tyre scrape issues but will be sorted soon hopefully.
