Review
I had been cruising around with the Factory 15W Dual Cone 6x9's for 12 months.
My passengers were complaining of muffled lyrics and and lack of Midrange coming from the rear shelf when playing anything louder then a mouse fart.
The Cure : New Rear fill.
I was looking around for a 2-way 6x9 that would slot into the factory holes without the need of modding the shelf.
I had a demo of the Eclipse SE6900 and found they had a pleasant combination of nice low end punch with a balanced, but not over powering Tweeter.
With my collection of Trance and Metal I needed a speaker that could belt out the midrange and volume with the power coming from my head unit. The SE6900 have not disappointed.

They are able to blend in with a Set of splits and a Sub-woofer without too much effort.
They were a direct drop in for a 3rd Gen Sedan with all holes lining up and a mounting depth a shade over 3 inches so they do not get fowled up on the boot support strut.

The Cast is light weight with a Non vented Magnet structure.
All in all .. A Nice Speaker for rear fill or for all out old school cranking.

None just bass passing through the holes in the shelf.

Some crappy VDO 6x9s that are only ever turned on when I have passengers and even then not very loud. They don't need to be loud as the passenger's heads are right next to them!

even with no rear speaker my passengers can still hear the audio because i have my polyglass splits set to 100hz with a slope of 18 and they are loud enough to cope with my bass.

back passengers? im not sacrificing my listening quality just to benefit the rare occasion I have a rear passenger. if im going on any substantial drive with a rear passenger in the car then i will turn the sub down a few notches, or turn it off, and there isnt any issues.

JBL GTO 936e's are some of the best sub $150 6x9's I've ever heard. Been a while since I've heard them but my god, clear, crisp, plenty of range. GREAT speaker

Yes the JBL 's are great sounding they share there heritage line with Infinity.
Its getting Harder to get JBL in my area now, or else I would have gone them instead of the Eclipse.

Soundstream tarantula 2 ways. Currently my only sound source while I take my sweet a$$ time installing my front splits! They sound bloody good.

Review:
Needed some rear fill for my car, so bought at the same time as my hertz components for a decent price. Some people dont like rear fill, but I do though. I also like my passengers getting good sound so wanted semi decent speakers.
Currently feeding around 160wrms each and they are taking it like a champ! Didnt know how long they would last with this power, but ive been blasting for a few months now with this power and they are still going strong! Very warm, crisp midbass, with clear vocals. They go very loud too with no distortion (Although this is probably more due to my amp) They go with my front hertz components very well! Love these 6x9's! :)
