list of things on my whiteslip.

1) structial rust rear left wheel arch FIXED

2) exhaust system requires replacing

3) parcel shelf mounted brake light not functioning FIXED

4) headlights require readjusting FIXED

5) windscreen requires replacement

6) speedo needle doesnt move

7) no horn pad on steering wheel FIXED

8) battery mount requires replacement FIXED




kk so anyone know what prices i might be looking at for a windscreen and exhaust. also the speedo needle moved fine before i removed the dash to pauint it and it all seems to be in right? any ideas?

Windscreen I got a quote about a month ago (for my 94 TS Wagon) from 2 companies - Obrien's said $434 and "Windscreens express" said 310 (both mobile services) => But Orbien's called back an hour later saying based on current stock levels they can take $130 off making it $326 which was still more expensive but they noted they have a national warranty and a free chip repair voucher.

Exhaust.. depends what needs replacing did they specify? I understand you'd be looking at between $200 and $500 but someone else can probably give better advice on this.

did you plug the speedo cable back into the gearbox?

the white plastic lead that sticks through and plugs into the cluster? though i did might have to double check it

so car is about to go in and have some of the work don to it, windsccreen is going in @ 260.00 new fitted from windscreen obrian, i got a cat back exhaust yesterday from the wreckers for 110.00 in god nick so thats going to get fitted for 44.00 from my local exhaust shop.

Fit yaself mate :P Hours work and save the $44 labour :P

so the magna made redo today, turns out speedo issue was a busted speedo cable ( 20.00 from wreckers) just got to fix the idleing issue but that will hopefully be fixed soon. just good to be driving her again and tbh i havent spent that much time in the car with it idleing today anyway was good to head out for a nice open drive to nowhere and just enjoy it ttagain tho.

barina has now been moved to shed awaiting the whole rear to be removed so i can box it then im just goona have the barina as a audio comp car :D
