hi guys,
i am in the middle of helping a mate get his magna going, but have hit a snag. Can anyone tell me what the size is for the dowel that locates the timing gear onto the cam, as it has somehow vanished before he got the car, as he got it with the head removed and sitting on the back floor.

its better to take the cog
and buy a scroll pin /or cog from a wrecker
or maybe repco can supply the scroll pin
it protrudes about the thickness of the cog
on both sides

this locates the camshaft and the washer behind the 22mm nut

I dont have a cog to get the exact measurment
you might use a twist drill shank to put it in the hole to get
an idea of its diameter/size

the hole of the cog might be damaged so another cog might not be a bad idea
