(Mods feel free to move/delete this if necessary)

I have recently noticed a few people asking how to run power wire in a 3rd Gen so i thought i would do a simple write up so if anyone needs it, its here.

First of All you need to know that when running power wire through ANY car to ensure you, are using a correctly sized fuse for your wire and that you can place it within 30cm's of the battery. The fuse is in place to protect the wire and the closer to the battery the better because this will minimize damage to the cable.

The next step is how you are going to run the cable through the firewall, there are 3 ways to run it easy.

1: The clutch cable grommet should be located in the middle of the firewall, approx half way down, you can make a hole in it with either a drill or a screw driver.

2: The grommet behind the strut tower on the passenger side. For this you may need to take the wheel and the mudguards lining the well out. (I did this without removing the wheel and only undoing a few tek screws). One you have the wire going through the Strut Grommet it will be in the wheel well, you will need to then feed the wire through another grommet/hole into the kick panel. Once you think you have done this remove the kick panel from inside the car and reach up and pull the wire through.

3: Drill you own hole. This should be a last resort and you need to drill somewhere where you think it will end up in the car (not near the vin plate thats too high) and one the hole is drilled you will need to use a grommet to protect the wire from the sharp edges.

In an Auto All 3 Options are Available

In a Manual Options 2 and 3 are Available

One the wire is in the car i would recommend running the power wire down the passenger side because RCA's are much easier to run through the steering column on the drivers side.

Next is to run the wire down the side of the car (under the scuff panels, in the kick panels and to the boot)

The best way to feed to wire into the boot is to remove the back seat. Once that is done its straight foward.

(If anyone who knows as much about car audio would like to add and make a PDF Feel free)
