car - TH verada
I Have done a manual conversion and I joined the two wire's near the gearbox so that it starts, but I was wondering if the computer thinks its in Neutral, then is that why cruise control and TCL not work??
If so is it posible to work around?
Cheers

never done it , but what if you start the engine , disconnect the bypass you installed and then take it for a drive?
you could always wire the neutral switch wires to a hidden switch and use it as an immobiliser!

You could do that to any standard mitsubishi though, just use a switch tapping the wires coming out the barrell to the starter(Black/yellow trace in 2nd gen)

If it is the same set up as a 2nd gen that I did a conversion on (electrically wise),
the bridged connection to start the car does not give the trans computer a signal whilst in "N" or "P".
To get the cruise to work, you will need to find the pins on the same plug that tell the ecu that the car is in "D".
Leave the other pins bridged so that you can start the car though.
I just traced it off the the old trans by placing it in the "D" position and checking with a meter.
Then I just bridged out the same pins on the connector (it will bring the D light on on the dash if you have done it right).
Your cruise should then work in theory. Don't forget to wire in a clutch switch to cancel the cruise when the clutch pedal is depressed.
I can't help with the TCL sorry, I would suggest you send a PM to Madmagna about that as has does these conversions all the time.
He may also have an alternative for getting the cruise to work.
Good luck.

Thanks Sounds good, Im just assuming the TCL and Cruise just dont work when u bridge the pins, because when we put it on the computer it doesnt throw errors

Just found out in the wet that TCL does actually work, It doesnt kick in if you do a burn out in first gear from the line but it does if u are in second gear and throw your foot into it around a wet corner it handles real nice. the engine drops rpm and everything, I'm not edorcing illegal street race this is in my long wet concrete driveway at home on my property.
Anyway what are the wire colours off the wires I have to bridge according to DAZMAG post? I dont have an auto box to test and find out. If anyone knows I'll add you to my christmas list lol
Thank You everyone, this place S*** all over Street Bombadores

Okay, I have my dads TJ1 non tippy atm so I could have look and test my theory about Making the "D" light come on the dash.
Holding the plug from the trans ( the large connector that plugged into the selector and where you would have bridged the starter ct.) with the wires going away from you, do the following:
(The small row of sockets should be at the top of the plug.)
The socket at right most on the top row of six needs to be bridged with the socket third from the left on the bottom row.
On the TJ it is the yellow only wire from the row of six to be joined to the black / white wire from the bottom row of four.
This will tells the trans ecu that it is in gear and in turn tell the cruise also that it is in gear.
This will still require you to install a clutch switch at some point if you have not already done so.

Sorry guys but you can not get the cruise working like you are thinking in the Third Gen
You have 2 options
On the cruise ECU there is a wire to cut, this will give you instant cruise but no release when the clutch pedal is depressed, if you however loop this wire through the clutch pedal it will then allow cruise to work and allow the clutch to dis enguage
If you want more detail, pm me and I will explain further
