Hi Trev here,i am new to this forum,i have a 1995 TS magna v6 auto that i recently bought for $2000 with 126,000 klms on the clock.All ways starts first go but misses at low revs,but not at higher,once you get the car past about 30 kmh it doesn't,i have replaced the plugs&leads,what could it be,anyone got any ideas cheers Trev.

so are you saying it when not moving it stalls?

No it don't stall,when you accelerate it misses a bit,its not responsive,but drives fine when revs are up,when you take of it misses a bit then picks up,don't matter if the engine is hot or cold,but has never stalled on me,cheers.

ok i had a sim problem with my te i did the leads and spark plugs still did it
i found out it was either the rotor or the distributer
when its in idle does it feel like a sutle miss hard to explain really

Yes that's what it is like a sutle miss,you can feel it when you start driving,when you get past that,its fine,I live in caboolture 4510.

Do a compression test. My TS v6 was misfiring at low revs, number 5 cylinder had a burnt exhaust valve, because the previous owner had snapped off both exhaust manifold studs on that cylinder. A bit of work and its running well. Could just be a plug lead or spark plug problem though.

so he did - compression test then.Worth checking for air leaks too.

I will check the dizzy& rotor button today&get a compression test done soon,cheers.

Hi Trev here,i checked the dizzy cap&there was corrosion on the terminals&rotor button,cleaned them and the same.The sutle miss is still there,do you know if a faulty oxygen sensor would do this,cheers.
