Mate, am not that far from you if you want to catch up sometime & have a look at the KJ. There's no difference between the models of AWD in the rear, AFAIK.

Yes there is. To start, the AWDs have a much thicker upper suspension arm. The one the is close to the inner shoulder of the tyres. I'm sure there are other differences to cater for the rear diff and drive shaft.

I think what alscall is saying is all the AWD magna/verada's share the same rear end.

Best i could do at short notice sorry!

No kidding - I went looking through my photos I had and found this one from a few years ago before my car even had mag wheels!

It shows a bit - but prolly not what you are wanting to see?

Taken from the Left Hand Rear side.

Obv - KL AWD Verada

(I have since cleaned the underside of my car - its not that filthy anymore!)

OK will send you a PM

Aisn't yours out of action at the moment?

That side of thigs has been fixed. It's in a Geelong workshop as we speak & hopefully won't be too much longer now. Sometime next week, I'm hoping.

Not a chance.

Plenty of threads around here explaining how it would take megabucks to convert a FWD 3rd gen to AWD, let alone a 380.

Even Blackstar hasn't got that much money to waste.

I wait to be proven wrong!

I will when I get a chance, it's at my parents place so I'll have to clean out the shed when I am up there and roll it over

Can't wait to see this project come together, whatever it is.

I might have to eat my earlier words about an AWD 380!

You're a real pioneer Blackstar, what with the 380 LSD and now this project.
