I just bought a set of fog lights and brakets from fleabay

im just wondering if its easier to wire up another switch with a relay,

or

buy the authentic indicator stalk with the fog light switch. just what do i need to do to wire this thing in?

The indicator switch is awesome for stock appearance, but you'll still need to wire in a relay & fuse. Remember fog lights need to be wired so that they can only come on when the parkers and/or the headlights are turned on as well.

yeah, i realise, but i am sorta asking if the switch in the stalk can be accessed, and used, and does it automatically only let the fogs come on, or is that extra external wiring?
and will it fit in a regular non-foglight spot?

Switch it self isn't accessible, but the wires to the loom connection are. Wire colours are in the Gregorys Magna workshop manual. The switch is a straight swap for the standard non-fog switch.

I will work out a wiring diagram if you would like, but I will do it tomorrow :) I also will look at third wiring diagrma as well. To try give a bit of a hand with wiring color code as well.

On the third gen stalk with the auto function that does nothing as far I'm aware. Fog light should turn on with the low beams but I'm only guessing as I haven't third gen.

No fog lights without parkers or headlights with factory stalk switch. The wiring is accessible under the steering column surrounds.
