G'day,

It appears as though the front strut mount in the car has gone and is making an awful clicking noise when turning or hitting speed bumps, potholes etc.

I have called the local wreckers and the latest model they have is a TE.

As i have an 01 TJ VRX i'm just wondering if the top strut mounts for the two cars are the same for the front, both left and right.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Seano

Yeah they are the same for both.

They are worth approx $100 ea genuine.

They are called strut top bearing plates. They are the same for all models.

These will solve your issue.

I thought I was having the same issue, turns out my shock absorber was 100% dead. No bumpstop did not help either.

Check your shock absorber has a bumpstop and retains some pressure aswell when you install these.

No Problems, thanks for the help.

I'm actually replacing both struts at the same time so if there is any issue with the shocks etc it should also fix it.

I'll be picking up the "strut top bearing plates" (Thanks FamilyWagon) tomorrow from the wreckers. 100 for both.

Thanks again guys,
