Random thread I know, but maybe someone might know.

If the side mirror is smashed, do you need to replace the whole mirror (arm etc) or can you just replace the front mirror piece ???????????????

Should be able to just replace the mirror insert, some cars you have to take the outter backing plastic out and then remove the plastic panel where the mirror glass sits, take it to a glassy who can usually do it for around $20 - $30 bucks.

sometimes though the electrics can be damaged in the impact and then it is the whole mirror rather than just the glass
