If i have a spare auto magna, with over drive... we all know that i do...
Am i able to simply change a bit over from one with a non working overdrive and make it operate?
Usual story, instead of overdrive, acts like neutral.
Have read about it somewhere... which is how i think i know that the over drive is external to the transmission? Which makes me think it can be done?
Thanks

all you have to do swap the working drum
with its friction and drive plates
easy swap no problem :ninja:
just take off the driverside tyre
and undo the cover plate held in with 10 mm head bolts

Is there a post somewhere else on this with some photos or anything? Is the cover the bit with about 4-5 screws? i had a look into it today but didnt want to go too far without speakung to the experts :)
Thanks for your help, is much appreciated!!

I gave this a go about a week ago now... worked!! Excellent news hehe, always was under the impression it was a bit of an awkward job... but is one of the easiest.
Even found the fault. The tiny small bit of broken rubber seal. Something else to make sure i keep from all my wrecks as they start heading off to the scrap yard very soon!
Thanks
Alex.
