Hi all,
Does anyone know how to take the clear plastic panel off the speedo/ instrument cluster on a TE? some how white flakes of something from the previous own and are sitting along the bottom of my cluster. i was just going to ignore it but its starting to annoy me.

could anyone give me ideas/steps/instructions on how to get it out etc?

do you know how to pull the spedo out of hte dash?
there are just little bit you push down and the clear part pops off.

The white flakes are probably plastic from the clear face where it has started to crack or deteriorate across the top. Pull the cluster out and see how the face is attached, tabs or screws depending on model. Common in older Magnas, TM, TN, TP. If you see cracks or flakey bits put some clear glue on them to hold everything down, hopefully you won't see your glue work when it is all together. If it is too far gone, get another from the wreckers.

whoops its a TE magna :) yeah i think i know how to take the cluster out i read on the forum here how to do it but didnt now how to take the clear plastic off :(

If I remember correctly, on the TE its a screw in type arrangement.
I had a similar issue with my TF, I simply removed the plastic cover from the cluster cleaned it up and used a clear contact (like you used on your school books) on the inside of the plastic and no more flakes since. If you do this, take extra care when applying because the air bubbles will drive you batty if you dont get it just right.

all good took out the screws to the cluster unclipped the plug and dimmer and then took the plastic panel by popping off with the few plastic clips. everything was still in good condition looks like random dust got in some how :)
