well iv just put in a 2farad in my system ...

simple diagram(hope you get it):

........................ -- amp -- sub
........................ /
battery -- farad--
........................ \
........................ -- amp -- sub

over a week all of a sudden(not saying its the farad) now and then the subs kick, or hit some pot holes they kick, and then now and then while im sitting at a set of lights idling the subs hum with a steady bass line

so is it grounding
did i fudge over the farad

thankyou

Could just recheck your grounds as they might have come loose, but seeing as they are still working it might not be
Could always remove the farad (dont really need one) and see how you go

the reason the farad is there is because when system is running and car is running basiclly all light including head light pulse and if at idle for a long period of time my battery is only putting out 10.4v i think it was so basically the battery is not charging hence the farad (and yes im upgrading the battery, for which ever person wants to be a smart arse)

FYI Farad is a measurement of electricity. Capacitor or "Cap" is the word you are looking for. Disconnect your ground, sand back whereever you are grounding it to and reconnect.

i had a similar problem in previous car and found it only happened in winter - check to see there isnt any water at around the ground(s). i found i had a small leak around the boot rubber. fixed it and it never happened again

also to get "better grounding" could i connect the neg side of the battery to the neg side of the capacitor/farad thingy???

ok so now iv shaved the paint down and got a better connection PLUS there is ground coming straight from the battery, there is no water or condensation or anything seen...

could it be the farad ???
